Skilled Town is a brilliant and uplifting tale.  Its stunningly presented moral backbone of loyalty, love and family is fused with the explosive sexuality of dance and of young hard bodies that fill the screen and drive the story.  It features world class cast and high caliber film crew.

The appetite for action movies right now is at an all-time high. Martial arts driven films are at the peak of the box offices, and all the other types of movies, in one way or the other contains martial arts in spectacular action packed scenes.

Love and friendship are at the core of any good movie. The attraction, the loss and the final reunion of a couple are the underlining themes of our existence, therefore the public relates very much to a romantic story, whether it’s dramatic or comedic.

Since the movies began, dance on film has launched styles and fashion, and started trends that other movies imitate.  This is particularly true when the dancing is charged with sexuality: “An American in Paris,” “Saturday Night Fever,” “Flashdance,” and “Hustle and Flow” have each jump-started careers, styles, and a host of successful imitations.  “Skilled Town” is a script with the potential to be just such a cultural touchstone.

Movies involving kids and teenagers with dreams, capability and intelligence are the favourite of the family oriented audience. Movies like “The Incredibles, or “Finding Nemo” had the power to attract millions of families because of their themes.

“Skilled Town” has all these elements: action, love, kids dreams, family and friendship, plus more: Music and Dancing. A few years ago movies like “Fame and “Foot-loose” attracted millions of viewers around the globe because of their dance routines and music. Today, movies like “8 Mile” and “Step-Up” are fresher versions of stories involving characters that the young audience can relate to. “Skilled Town” offers also the opportunity to the more mature audience to be entertained, thanks to the presence of mature themes, like solidarity and the imminent loss of an ill relative. When serious contents and fresh young themes are present in a story with a lighter background of dance, music and love, it is easy to foresee a wide spectrum of possibilities for a mass appeal.
